My name’s Alan. I’m a songwriter, producer, and musician of 30+ years based in Calgary, Canada. Over the last decade, I’ve been building up a pool of my “Soul-Love Songs“— my original music that has come through to be an expression of my human journey and a support to me in the ups and downs of Earth School. These songs are about healing, connection, and reaching for truth and inner clarity.
Now, I’m launching this GoFundMe to release these songs into the world in a broader format. I’m planning on recording 15 to 20 original tracks in the next 6-8 months; most of these I have all ready to be recorded.

Funding
The level of support I receive through this campaign will determine how deeply I can develop the music. If the support is modest (up to the initial goal of $3,500), I’ll create solid, basic demo versions of all the songs—still meaningful, still heartfelt. With enough backing (stretch goal of $20-30k), I’ll be able to take my time refining and adding beautiful instrumentation, ensuring the production and mixing reflect the quality that those of you who have listened to my various works are aware is possible.
This project will include:
- 🎙️ Full demo recordings (or fully produced versions depending on support)
- 🎥 A music video for each track, either simple version of me singing live at Avalon Temple, or with more budget, something more creative.
- 📀 Releases on YouTube, Spotify, and other platforms

Your support will help cover the cost of my time to practice, perform, mix and master the songs to a level that feels good, plus any rental gear I would need to achieve the artistic vision I’m hearing/seeing for each song. Luckily, I have self-funded thousands of dollars of music and recording gear, and the knowledge/experience to produce most of what I would want to create. I just can’t realistically invest hundreds of hours of my time in this music (which it could really benefit from) when I’m doing it for free. I simply need to focus on other things if I don’t have funding.
So, whether you’re contributing $10 or $1,000, you’re helping bring these Soul-Love Songs into the world, where they can reach hearts, inspire growth, and hold space for healing.

Levee Breaking Music Video. My last significant recording project, from Summer 2023.
For You. An example of the fun vocal harmonies I like to do to really add a whole other level to my productions.
New Shores. Recorded and mixed in 2011 before I was comfortable with my singing voice, so the music hid on my hard-drive till 2018 when I chose to release the instrumentals.
Mind Wide Open. Same album as New Shores. This is my best rock production ever, so far. I recorded, sampled, mixed, and mastered all parts.
Together. Dance electronic track where I sang and produced everything.
Rest In You. A devotional song that I recorded in a day or two back in 2012. One of my best examples of beautiful vocal harmonies in the bridge at 2:05
